Dishon Laing, Youth Prevention Program Director at the City of Boston of Recovery Services, Boston Public Health Commission, will examine the gender and sexuality spectrum, highlight disparities specific to LGBTQIA+ identities, and explore both historical and current strategies for effectively engaging LGBTQIA+ communities. This session will provide a foundational understanding of the experiences of LGBTQIA+ youth impacted by opioids and substance use disorders and address the challenges and solutions for advancing equity and supporting meaningful connections within underserved populations.
